Is operating effectively in a transport environment one of your strengths? Is coordinating drivers and ensuring you run a safe and efficient operation a day-to-day occurrence for you? Do you find building strong and sustainable relationships with stakeholders a piece of cake? If so, we are looking for a Site Manager to run our East Leake site. We run a contract for British Gypsum, where we run a large team of HGV drivers and team of site services colleagues.

The salary on offer will be up to £55,000. We offer 25 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other benefits.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Provide operational excellence through leadership and guidance for the site management team

• Create a one team culture across all site functions, where everyone is pulling in the same direction

• Accountability for site performance, delivering on agreed KPIs and operational metrics

• Ownership of the site safety strategy, through colleague engagement and delivering a first-class safety culture

• Be proactive in identifying change and continuous improvement opportunities throughout the operation

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Ideally, you’ll be CPC qualified and have a good understanding of driver’s hours

• Warehousing related & safety qualifications, IOSH for example

• Able to effectively communicate confidently at all levels
